Sexy Shoulders Kettlebell Workout

Welcome to the sunny, sandy beaches of Carlsbad, California for a shoulder workout with our friend Casey. Today, we will take you through a basic warm up of your shoulders and then push the range of motion and stability. Casey isn’t a highly experienced kettlebell practitoner, which gives me a great opportunity to coach her through this workout. I hope that some of the things I point out in Casey’s form helps you with yours. If nothing else, you should get an understanding of how detailed kettlebell technique is.

Today’s Workout

Halo
Use a very light bell, keep your head still and open your shoulders.

Pull over
The pullover will get the lats engaged, they create stability in your shoulders for pushing and moving under the weight.

Around the world
Pass the bell around your body from hand to hand, just loosening up.

Windmill
The windmill is the nitty gritty today, we’re warmed up, now reps of three at a time. Use the lat to stabilize the shoulder as you move under the weight.

The windmill is about hip flexibility, back strength and shoulder stability, a fantastic exercise to create unity in your entire body. Moving under the weight is one of the most effective tools for developing a solid foundation capable of progressing and meeting tough challenges. Use it often in your practice in as many variations as you can.
