Kettlebell Movement Summer Shred: Rock Hard Abs I

Welcome to our first video in a series, where we focus on specific areas while keeping the full body concept of kettlebell training alive. We are going to utilize exercises that, while training your whole body will require more out of specific areas. Our first video in the series will focus on abs and core! Summer is right around the corner and here in Southern California, people will be hitting the beach and wanting to look their best. You don’t have to live by the beach to want to look your best, so join me for the next month as I help you to feel more confident as the weather warms up.

In this video, we will be keeping it simple with two of the most demanding ab exercises in functional training. I will be using two kettlebells for today, a medium weight bell, about 25% of my bodyweight, and a heavier one, about 33% of my bodyweight. We will go through ten getup sit ups on one hand, and then follow up with ten heavy kettlebell swings. Switching hands, we will do ten more getup sit ups and another set of swings. We are working at a fast pace with this session, so do your best to keep up. We will do four total sets of each exercise and your abs will most likely be sore tomorrow. If you perform them properly and with enough weight, the heavy kettlebell swings should be felt more in the abs and core than anywhere else! By the time we are done, your heart rate should be up and you should feel great. You can add this routine to your existing workout or even repeat this workout for two or three total times if you are feeling super strong. With that said, coughing and sneezing may be a little painful for a couple of days so don’t overdo it!

I will see you back here on Friday for our second ab shred session, make sure to subscribeto our channel so you don’t miss out!
