In today’s video I am taking you through the first of twelve total rounds that I am doing in my workout, three variations of a bend. If you have tight hamstrings, glutes or adductors (inner thigh) then this is a great workout to build mobility. Personally, I am using it as a way of building hip and core strength with intervals of heavier weights.
Workout:
One leg deadlift; five reps per leg
Windmill; five per side
Bent press; three per side
How it’s done:
Three sets with a light bell, then move up one notch and do three more, increase the weight again and then once more for a final round. Every weight will be used for three rounds of the list above.
The idea is that you develop and warm up over time and because you progress gradually, the increase in weight doesn’t overload your nervous system. As the weight increases, it shouldn’t feel much heavier than the last. Watch the video for verbal and visual cues on each individual exercise, these aren’t the easiest moves and require that you have decent basics before you perfect the moves.
