A great way to get a great endurance workout without repetitively working the same movement or muscle group is by using the seven primal movements. By training this way, you know you are using every muscle in your body, that you will be less likely to get to failure in one area and that you can keep the intensity up because you won’t be resting tired muscles. In this FMF I am going to take you through the first round of my seven primal movements workout for the night. As I progress through the rounds, I will make each exercise slightly more challenging so I will show you some examples of that as I go. I have about forty minutes for my workout tonight so this will be perfect. The fast pace of this workout will give me lots of volume in very little time so I won’t need long to complete five rounds.
The seven primal movements are:
Bend
Squat
Lunge
Twist
Pull
Push
Gait
Watch the video to see the variations that I am going to use and then come up with some variations of your own for each round. You can make things more challenging in many different ways with these, so have fun and let your imagination play around a little!
