The backdrop is beautiful and the sun is shining so what better day to be on the beach for a workout? In this video I am going to take you through three rounds of push and pull exercises that will work every muscle in your body. In doing so, you will get your heart rate up and keep it up for the whole workout. I am using exercises that are more appropriate for heavier bells, so use the most weight you can handle for lower rep count, but a fast pace.
Todays workout is simple, three rounds of
Ten clean and jerk
Five left, five right from dead.
Ten swings
Two handed swings.
Ten push ups
Use a kettlebell for added range of motion if you like.
As I mentioned, use the heaviest bell you can handle for the clean and jerk and swings. The clean and jerk is only five reps per hand each round, so don’t be afraid to push yourself with a heavier bell. This will make sure you get the cardiovascular benefit of this high paced workout. The bell I am using is about 2/5 of my bodyweight, an 88lb bell, from Kettlebell Kings. I am using a dead clean and jerk because I want to start by moving the bell in a straight line up and down. The swing will move the weight from back to front, and the push ups will allow my grip to rest while adding another pushing movement and keeping the heart rate up. The wind on the beach messes up our audio, so I won’t be giving much instruction once we start. Use the video as a visual guide and also use the lessons from my video library for any exercise you haven’t done before.
I hope you enjoyed training with me in the sand today, see you next time!
